Nigerian Government Begins Ceasefire Talks With Boko Haram

Contrary to earlier stance of the Nigerian government, latest reports inform that it has begun talks with the Islamist militant group, Boko Haram, to release more than 200 girls abducted six months ago. According to a report published by the Voice of America today, Friday, 17 October, 2014, it was gathered that the Federal Government has started negotiating the militant group for them to stop the deadly insurgency that has claimed thousands of lives across Nigeria.
