I am not writing to abuse or look down on anybody’s effort in the industry, am only trying to protect the dignity of the Bayelsa Entertainment industry.
Though, development is something we ought to embrace but the level of dishonesty is now a menace in the industry.
There comes a time in Bayelsa when pageantry events where raving the streets of yenagoa. Which led to the drawback of the pageantry business instead of creating development.
The same attitudes and methods is coming up again!!!! This time is AWARDS! AWARD!! AWARD!!!
The up rise of award programmes is the chase again. Everybody wants to conduct award programme, and everybody wants to be honoured.
It is now becoming a habit that when one person does a thing that is successful. Every body Will want to do the same thing, the same concept but different name.
It is becoming obvious, gosh, we should think outside the box. There are thousands of untapped ideas out there to develop, we should stop this imitation thing.
It will not make us grow rather hamper our image of not being industrious and genuine. Award is not something that one will pay for or influenced, it must be meritable.
An award programmes should be done by mature minds who knows the dignity of award event.
The entertainment industry in bayelsa needs to be sanitized, the industry needs to flush off bad eggs who thinks they can cripple other peoples efforts in the name of creating development.
Award programme should not be seen as a child’s play, for one to set up programme as such, she or she must be intellectually balanced, disciplined and must have every capacity to make it a success.
If one is proposing award, the award name should work by its name and not when the award is focusing on Niger Delta and only Bayelsa is participating for the award and we call it Niger Delta Award. It make no sense, trying to antagonise peoples effort with baseless ideas.
I believe we are not children again in this entertainment business, everyone have to fasten his or her belt to stay fit in this business or else nemesis will catch up with the imposters.
Entertainment policing is out there to enforce laws that will hurt, or terminate dubious activities surrounding entertainment in Bayelsa state.
So be warned not to be the escape goat.Always make a survey, ask questions before putting up plans.I will advice that we consult people before we jump into an idea.
