COMR. Uwandu Ikedi Igbonekwu, OTHERS EMERGE AS NUISS NEW OFFICIALS
The supreme council of Imo state students; NATIONAL UNION OF IMO STATE STUDENTS (NUISS) had her 2016/2017 convention at the Owerri City school with over 120 delegates in attendance.
The election for the new NUISS leadership conducted by the electoral commission led by Comr. Prince Okere as Chairman and Comr. Uzoma Njoku as Secretary had Comr. Nzeh Franklin of Imo state University emerge as National President-Elect, Comr. Diwe Olivia of Alvan Ikoku federal college of Education as National vice president-elect, Comr. Uwandu Ikedi of Enugu state university of science and technology as Vice President-elect (external affairs), Comr. Ikenna Ume-Ejike of Imo state University as Vice President-elect (Special duties), Comr. Emmanuel Chukwu of Federal University of Technology Owerri as Senate President-elect, Comr. Nnorom Mirian of Imo state University as Deputy senate president-elect, Comr.Blessing Ohadumere of Alvan Ikoku federal college of education as Secretary general, Comr. Samuel Confidence Ekene of Federal polytechnic Nekede as Minister of Finance, Comr.Esonwunne Joseph of IMSU as Chief judge, Comr. Ugwumba Cecilia as deputy chief judge, Comr. Casmir Okereafor as Registrar, Comr. Victor Obeta as Minister of Justice, Comr. Onumajuru Bright of Niger delta University as Minister of Health amongst others.
The election was witnessed by the NUISS national councillor; Rt. Hon. GT.C Samuel and other past NUISS leaders. The electoral Chairman ceased the opportunity to call on the outgone NUISS official to return all Union’s property to the electoral committee within three (3) days from the 21st of October 2016.
They also called on Mr.Obinna Ben Eziefula to return with immediate effect the union’s bus which is in his possession.
