Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike of Rivers state received Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) today, January 18, at the Government House, Port Harcourt.
Adeboye was in Rivers state as part of his annual visit to the state to meet with members of the church and pray for the state.
He prayed: “The Almighty God will let peace reign Supreme in this state. There will be progress and development. Whatever little problem we may still have, God will settle them.”
He noted that Rivers state had the second largest population of RCCG members in the country.
Pastor Adeboye was recently conferred with an honorary doctorate degree by the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife. Adeboye, an alumnus of the OAU, said the award would spur him to contribute more to the development of the university.
