Popular Gospel musician and preacher, Cwesi Oteng in an interview on Onua TV’s Aben Wo Ha cooking show with host Gifty Osei has recounted the bad moment that befell him when he endorsed Akufo Addo in 2016.
According to the ‘God Dey Bless’ hitmaker, he publicly declaring support for the New Patriotic Party was very bad for his business to the point that his music career took a bad turn.
He said “after making that endorsement I went down. It was too bad for my business”.
Cwesi Oteng whiles speaking on Onua TV disclosed his reason for rallying behind Nana Akufo-Addo during 2016 electioneering year, he said “I did what I did because it’s everybody’s civil right to have a political choice so I did it from that perspective.
I also loved the then Candidate Akufo-Addo because of his character and his love for the country”
The award-winning gospel singer, however, revealed that he wasn’t given anything and he didn’t even expect to be given something for campaigning for the NPP.
