The Blues have made their third summer signing ahead of the new Championship season, which starts on August 7, 2021
British-Nigerian midfielder Chuks Aneke has made the short journey to Birmingham after his successful transfer to Birmingham FC from Charlton athletic.
The deal is an obvious step up for the attacking midfielder as he goes a tier higher- leaving league one football to play in the Skybet Championship.
The midfielder made a name for himself last season, scoring 15 goals in 38 appearances and averaging an incredible 0.4 goal per game record.
Chuks Aneke, a former Arsenal player who has struggled with injuries for most of his career, would look to impress in his two-year contract as he is now under the tutelage of his old boss – Lee Bowyer.
Aneke was born in England, but he’s still eligible to play for Nigeria through his parents. The 27-year old midfielder was a youth international for England but has made no appearances for the Three Lions, making him eligible to play for Nigeria.
Aneke could be a decent addition to the Super Eagles’ fold considering the absence of a dead ball specialist, as he’s very efficient from dead ball positions.
